Community engagement services

Hestia runs a range of community engagement services across London which includes facilitating four Local Involvement Networks (LINks) in Brent, Ealing, Hammersmith and Fulham, and Kensington and Chelsea. The LINk services are instrumental in supporting people to have a say in the way that their local health and social care services are designed and delivered. LINks have inspection powers, which are set out in the Local Government and Public Involvement in Health Act (2007) and include the ability to refer services to local borough Overview and Scrutiny Panels, to enter and view services, to make official reports and recommendations, and to ask for information from commissioners about services. As the Host organisation, Hestia promotes the work of the LINks, helping local people to get involved, providing advice, training and facilitation to help bring about improvements in services.

Ealing LINk is also one of four LINks selected nationally to take part in a new project to look into expanding the remit of the LINk model of involvement beyond health and social care and is known as the Ealing LINK+.  You can find out more about the LINks hosted by Hestia, and how you can become involved by following the links to their websites:

In addition to the LINks, we also run the ASK - Newham Service User Involvement project and a Mental Health Befriending Service carried out by volunteers in Tower Hamlets.
