My name is Laura Brimacombe and I am developing Hestia’s Self Directed Support services. My job title is Personalisation Development Manager.

I have recently started in my new role with Hestia; however I have previously worked for Hestia’s Mental Health Service in Richmond as a Supported Housing Worker.

Qualifications, skills and training

I have a degree in Psychology and an NVQ level 4 in Information Advice and Guidance. I also have an enhanced CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure certificate

How I can help you

I am developing information and advice, support planning and support brokerage services for people eligible or who might be eligible for self directed support.

I am developing a financial support service for people who want help managing their personal budgets.

Initially I am setting up a self directed support service in Newham where Hestia’s first Support Broker and Advisor will be based.

Interests & hobbies

I enjoy going out for meals, watching films and meeting my friends. I have a passion for shopping and I have recently started to experiment in the kitchen!

What I enjoy about my job

I like working with a project from start to finish so I can see everyone’s efforts pay off and ultimately benefit people’s lives. I hope to expand Hestia’s self directed support services in order to increase choice and control for service users.
